A native of New York City, Peter Malone is a painter, critic, curator, and former adjunct assistant professor at Kingsborough Community College, CUNY. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts and Columbia University, he served as Art Gallery Director at Kingsborough for the last decade of his tenure.


His work is included in the permanent collections of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Museum of Art in Utica, NY; the Elizabeth deC Wilson Museum in Manchester, Vermont; the Coupelouzous Museum in Athens Greece; and in corporate and private collections in the USA, Europe and the Middle East. 

 

His writing appears in Hyperallergic, Artcritical, the Brooklyn Rail, the New Criterion, Hamptons At Hub, and Two Coats of Paint. (see 'Published writing" link on left menu) He currently lives and maintains a studio in White Plains, NY.
